Centers of Gravity by Marko KloosMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
I read the whole series, so there is no question I enjoy Markos Kloos and this world. This wasn’t the best or the worst of the series so it’s a bit hard to rate and review. Furthermore, books 7 and 8 (this one) are a two-parter. None of the other books ended with real uncertainty and picked up so close after the previous one. I think I liked book 7 less because of this fact, and natural, liked this one more.
So I’ll just give some advice…
If you read the previous books in the series, then you should definitely read this one. It’s a good conclusion to the series. It won’t answer all of your questions (unless you had many fewer questions than most readers did), but that was never the point of Frontlines. It stuck to the story of Andrew Grayson’s military career and that’s exactly what it needed to do.
If you haven’t read the previous books, start at the beginning. Not because of spoilers, but because you’ll know if this series is for you or not when you read the first one (also, it’s really good). This is a very consistent series and there is no real reason to start anywhere else. And if you don’t like the first one you won’t like any of them.
